Romans 4:4-5 - Increasing Faith “When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners” (Romans 4:4-5 NLT)

Tough times in your life will require you to check your faith.
Moving from the provision of man to the provision of God requires more faith than it does work.
This is a major difference between how the world operates and how Christ operates.
In the world you work and expect (rightfully so) monetary compensation. This is a form of debt owed to the worker.
In Christ you produce works by faith. And righteousness is granted due to the faith you exercise. Nothing is owed to you, but granted to you through Christ.
What this means is Christ does not owe us anything. He grants to us righteousness as a reward of our faith in motion.
So faith becomes the catalyst in which we produce works. It is by this same faith that God counts us a righteous. So faith produces works and righteousness in us.
This is important because “a righteous man falls 7 times, and rises again,” (Proverbs 24:16 NASB)
As you continue to follow God’s lead for your life you will find yourself in between your past and your destination. You will fall many times. These times can be dark and very hard to endure.
However, it is these times that develop and strengthen your faith. As your faith is developed it becomes your fuel to press on towards the promise.
Bishop TD Jakes said it best when he stated:
“Increasing our faith is necessary when God closes one door and opens another. It’s in between those doors that our faith is developed”
What a word! Lets pray...
“Lord I accept your will for my life. I am willing to follow you Father and develop my faith through the process. That it may increase and so will my righteousness in you. Knowing that after every time I fall, through Christ I will rise again. In Jesus name I pray, Amen”
