Subject: If you can...

Daily encouragement for men of faith
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

~ Mark 9:23 NIV
I ran across a quote yesterday.

Once I read it I instantly felt a spiritual gut check. Here’s the quote:

“Gotta question my faith before I question The Father”

I don’t know about you but I am guilty of questioning the Father and his ways. As much as I try not to doubt it seems to sneak up on me more than I’d like to admit.

I blame God for a lot of things in my life that I should really be reciting words of praise for.

When I can’t understand why He has called me to a path of struggle and strife I often doubt he cares.

But that’s just me.

The truth is God is always right. No matter what the outcome or your emotions…He is faithful to the end.

His faith never fails and his ways always work out. The one in question is always you. Whether or not you have enough faith to sustain you until your storm subsides and the end result is realized.

Having faith in God is not an event but a journey. A journey you are called to walk daily, whether you feel like it or not.

It is the only journey worth taking.

Remember that God is always working for your good and has already overcome every single trial you will face.

If you find yourself doubting if God hears your prayers or will deliver you in time, check yourself. Make sure your not expecting God to deliver you a certain way or answer your prayers how you believe he should.

Give God the spiritual freedom to go above and beyond what you can imagine. Even if it hurts.

It is when you release that level of faith and stop blaming God but praising Him in advance for victories, that you will truly see that there is nothing impossible for our God.

Lets pray…

“Lord, impossibilities lie with me not you. Forgive me for every time my faith fell short and I blamed you. Open my eyes father to see the world through a spiritual lens that supersedes any struggle or trial I may be facing. Holy spirit strengthen me to remain faithful until I have fully obtained the promise of God in my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
