Subject: His strength

Daily encouragement for men of faith
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong”

~ 1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV
I’ll be honest…today was a rough one.

It was a bit harder to pray this morning. When I sat in front of my computer to type this devotional, no scripture or words would come.

Pressures of life began to mount before the sun was able to rise good. I needed the strength of the Lord to get me through the day.

Giving up is never an option so I made up in my mind to not be defeated. I got out of the house to provide a new environment for me to hear God’s instruction.

And I’m glad I did.

By the end of the day, right now, I received a renewed spirit. My heart was lighter and my outlook a bit brighter.

You will have these same types of days. Where you just can’t seem to get it going. When the weight of the world feels like it is continually pushing you down.

Friend, stand firm in your faith and be strong. Days like these you must learn how to endure without giving in to the pressures of life.

Remember God is faithful and we are full of flesh. We need his strength in times where flesh simply does not want to obey the spirit man.

Do whatever it takes to keep going. Whether it’s changing your environment or calling someone up to talk…

Stay strong.

I am so glad we serve a God who is always ready and willing to meet us at the point of our needs.

For that I am truly thankful.

Lets pray…

“Lord thank you for your never failing strength. It pushes me forward when life tries to push me back. As long as I continue to view you bigger than any issues I may face, I know I will always win. I claim victory in the name of Jesus! Amen.”
