Luke 6:26 - Hi Hater Pt. 2

“Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.” (Luke 6:26 NASB)

Now that you understand the following about haters…
  1. Expect them
  2. They’re biblical
This should help your expectations in your Christian walk. You see the underlying theme of this scripture is integrity.

True integrity is not sacrificed to please any man or woman. Integrity stands its ground no matter what the consequences may be.

However, it can be easy to get caught up trying to please people. Becoming more concerned about what people may think of you than actually doing what is right.

I am a recovering people pleaser. I used to be so concerned with making sure everybody had a positive view of me that became to be exhausting.

As I grew in Christ I realized it was okay for everybody not to like me. I started expecting it. Then I began to feel okay with it.

The best way to deal with “haters” in your life is to maintain your integrity. Do what is right in the eyes of God no matter what the consequences or rewards.

Your integrity needs to be your biggest concern.

If 10 people from different stages in your life were gathered together to speak on your behalf…would they all say the same thing about you?

Is it evident that you may not get along with everybody but you try to love on every one you encounter?

The answers the these questions will speak volumes of your integrity.

As a godly man, you should pride yourself in integrity. Not being easily swayed by the opinions of others.

When this is the case, no matter what negative comments people may say about you - your integrity will always speak louder.

Lets pray…

“Lord, you are an awesome God. I am dedicated to making sure my life exemplifies your love by any means necessary. I will no longer get caught up trying to please people. Instead, I am focused on pleasing you God. I know a life of integrity is honorable in your sight. Help me to exercise my strength in you to walk a consistent life of integrity. In Jesus name I pray, Amen”
