Just love.
As Christians we can really overcomplicate things at times.
When we do, unfortunately, people always get hurt. When we try to over spiritualize the basic teachings of Christ, we really miss it.
And in return, people get hurt. You know as well as I do…hurt people, hurt people.
But loves solves it all. Love is the cure for every spiritual, and physical, disease man faces.
It is love that breaks down walls that divide people by race, gender, beliefs, culture, and more. Love unifies us all.
Love is the physical proof that the spirit of God resides inside. It draws sin away while drawing those in need near.
You don’t have to agree with someone in order to love them. Too often we have cast people out of the church because we don’t agree with their sinful ways.
Love understands they need compassion more than conviction. Love knows that the only way for them to change is to experience the love of Christ.
All you have to do is give it.
Just give the love of God generously to all you encounter. Regardless of their lifestyle or visible sin…just love on them.
You don’t have to be good friends with someone in order to love on them. All you need is a willing heart to give the gift that God so freely gave to you.
Learn to except people for who they are, and love them where they are at in spite of any differences you may have with them.
Make the decision today to make your love known and felt.

“God you are love and I love you. Help me to love on others no matter the circumstance. Show me how to love my enemies. Reveal to me how to fall in love with your ways even though I don’t understand them. Teach me how to love my wife unconditionally. Let my children feel the power of my love every morning when they rise. Let my love for you be shown through my obedience to your commands. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.” |
