| | "who comforts us in all our troubles, so
that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves
receive from God."
~ 2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV
|
| God gives to you for primarily one reason…for you to give back.
The giving back I’m speaking of is towards others. When you bless the brethren God gets the glory.
This principle of giving God glory through giving to others can be seen all throughout the bible. The more Christ-like you become the more you will give to others.
This means when God left the Holy Spirit to comfort us in or trials that it wasn’t just for our comfort. But for us to experience what true comfort feels like so that we can give it accurately towards the lost and the found.
Do you believe that God has called you to certain struggles for you to be able to comfort those to walk the same path after you? Are you able to see the beauty in your circumstance now with your personal wants and needs removed?
God has promised to comfort you and he has also promised that you will face trials.
So go through your trials confidently. Not just because it’s building endurance and character. But because it is forcing you to rely on the comfort of Christ.
A comfort that once given to someone else in need, will expand the kingdom on earth just as God intended.
Lets pray…
“Father, thank you for comforting me in every area of my life. Even when I felt that I was alone, you were always there comforting me and covering me. Lord I now understand you have called me to be a comforter for my brothers. Help me to extend the same love and comfort towards them so that they can feel the love of Christ as they go through. Let the praise not come to me, but be always given to you. The one who was first to comfort us all. In Jesus name I pray, Amen." |
