| | "I--yes, I alone--will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.”
~ Isaiah 43:25 NLT |
| The truth is you will fall.
No matter how strong your walk with the Lord is, you will encounter times that you simply fail to uphold the word.
I’ll be honest, it happens to me daily.
The difference between living in freedom or condemnation is your ability to keep pressing on without reserve.
Acknowledge the shortcoming, repent immediately, and let it go.
In sports, athletes refer to this as having a short memory. The measure of a true champion is how fast they are able to forget a bad play or bad game and be willing to continue playing as if it never happened.
Friend, we are called to have that same short memory when it comes to our sins.
Don’t let the devil continually replay highlights of your past sins and keep you distracted from winning the championship Christ has prepared.
God doesn’t require a perfect walk from us. He knows we are unable to achieve that.
What he is looking for is a heart ready to repent to Him, just as fast as it fell to sin.
There is absolutely no condemnation in Christ.
Let’s pray…
“Father, help me to stop focusing on my sin and focus more on your blood. I realize every time I choose condemnation I minimize the work you have done on the cross. Today I chose to repent quickly and continue to walk in the grace you prepared for my path. Thank you so much Lord for forgiving me and forgetting my sins. In Jesus name I pray, Amen." |
