Matthew 6:25-27 - No Worries “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:25-27 NIV)

“Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing.”
That’s a lot easier read than done.
The fact of the matter is that I find myself worrying a lot more than I’m comfortable to admit. Especially when God calls you out of your comfort zone to achieve great works in His name, it seems that worrying comes second nature at times.
But that doesn’t make it right.
As a natural father I treat my nieces and nephews with great love. However, I treat my children even better.
The same applies to God. He provides for every living creature He has created. With us being his greatest creation, He provides that much more.
How often do you catch yourself worrying about matters that you have absolutely no control to change? Thinking that God doesn’t understand how bad your situation is because He’s not panicking or moving fast enough on your behalf.
Brothers, there is no issue in the world that catches God off guard. He simply has prepared a plan for our lives and is aware of the trials we are up against.
Just as a child lives fearless and reckless until he starts realizing the pain some of his actions can cause...then he begins to refrain. It isn’t that the danger is new, it’s just newly discovered by the child.
A new discovery to us is common knowledge to God.
He is never surprised by our trials and is always ready to provide.
So whether you choose to worry or not, God will make a way.
His way, on His time. No worries necessary.
Lets pray...
“Lord we call on your help and strength today. We admit that sometimes the worries of the world seem bigger than the possibilities in you. Our actions at times reflect that. Today we acknowledge that as a lie. You are far greater than any trial or obstacle we will face in life. You hold the power to provide and deliver us from the unimaginable. At times when our faith falters, Lord help us to remember this scripture. Thank you for giving us no worries in Christ. In Jesus name we pray...Amen”
