Luv
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV)
by Chris
Without love there is nothing and we are nothing.
Love brought our Savior Jesus Christ to us, and it was love that he allowed himself to be crucified.
There is no greater love. What an excellent example of the triumphant power love has in the world.
We have access to that exact same power. It’s in us.
Yesterday
I mentioned expelling the immoral brother from amongst you (in that
case homosexuality), but we are still commissioned to love them.
Love never gives up. You may rebuke someone’s sin, but you must always provide a path for them to repent and return.
I’m
writing this from a point of internal anger I realized I had towards
the wide acceptance of homosexuality in our society today.
But this anger is of no use to a Christian.
Brothers pray for me as I pray for our nation. If we want more souls saved for Christ we must activate love in our lives.
Not hate (or anger).
If you really care for the well being of others...love them.
It covers all sins.
Lets pray...
“Father
forgive me, and anyone else reading this that may have put selfish
feelings or beliefs over love. Help us to understand exactly how to love
those who we may not agree with or like. Lord my prayer is that we
allow love to govern our very thoughts, actions, and words towards one
another. Let the love of Christ be so evident over us that it is
contagious. Thank you Father for loving us....
Amen”
Note: In your spare time today, read the entire chapter of 1 Corinthians 13. While reading it think about what acting in love looks like in your life specifically. Let me know what you come up with.
