Limitless
“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” (Habakkuk 1:5 NIV)
by Chris
Wow...God’s response to Habakkuk is nothing short of amazing and utterly encouraging here.
However, it was hard for Habakkuk to receive this word due to his current circumstance.
Here’s some quick points on Habakkuk’s circumstance: Didn’t understand God’s choice of punishment Struggled with how long the punishment would last Couldn’t wrap his head around God’s timing and ways Resented God for leaving him confused
Man! I don’t know about you, but me and Habakkuk have a lot in common at times.
Here’s the thing, even though he/we may feel that way...God’s promise still remains true.
Read the scripture above again and see how God replied even though the feelings and thoughts towards him were crazy, and flat out wrong.
Here
it is brothers...we have to get to a point in our relationship with Christ that
we can continue to trust even when we don’t have answers.
Acknowledge our limitations while acknowledging...
God is limitless.
Lets pray...
“Father
we apologize. For any bad feeling we have had toward you due to us not
understanding your ways. You are a fair and just God that always looks
to bless your children. Help us to trust you more Lord. Whatever great
thing you are about to do in our lives, we receive in full. You are
an awesome wonder.”
Amen.
Recommendation: Read Habakkuk 1:1-4 to see exactly what complaint sparked such a great response from God.
