I was once told that encouragement is like soap...you need it daily.
Sometimes as men we can be too "tough" to admit we need encouragement. We can view it as a weakness to long for someone to tell is it will be alright.
This is just a trick of the enemy, of course.
There is power not only in encouraging one another, but also in acknowledging you need encouragement.
It takes humility to ask for encouragement, it takes a real man to give it.
When is the last time you encouraged a fellow brother in need? I hope the answer is yesterday.
Brothers, lets make a conscious effort to make sure we are encouraging and building each other up daily.
It doesn't have to take hours out of your day but maybe a simple text, phone call, or quick visit to check in on someone God has put on your heart.
Don't wait for someone to ask you for encouragement, give it freely to men you interact with today.
The Word is true and a little encouragement goes a long way.

"Father thank you for always making time to meet our needs. When no one else is around you always encourage and lift us up. Your love never fails. Help us to show love to others through encouragement. Although it may be inconvenient and uncomfortable, give us the strength to follow your Word and encourage one another. In Jesus name we pray...
