| Psalm 118:24 - Bad Days
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24)

Every day on this earth is a blessing from God.
Each day is filled with opportunities to change what we don’t like, conquer new giants, witness to the lost, and ultimately move us one step closer to God’s promise.
Therefore, there is no such thing as a “bad day”.
When is the last time you witnessed God make something bad? It is impossible.
Our Father does everything in excellence. Everything He creates is good. However, this does not negate trials in our lives.
On each beautiful day, the Lord has made, we will face trials that test our faith, endurance, and trust in the Lord. There is no doubt that bad things happen every day.
We loosely use the term “I’m having a bad day” to describe such events. As if our experiences in life dictates the quality of the day that God has graciously given us.
How prideful and self-centered is that?!
The words of a previous pastor of mine come to mind. Something that has always stuck with me and changed my perspective on “bad days”. He stated:
“There is no such thing as a bad day, just bad experiences on God’s good days.”
No matter what happened in the past or will happen today, it is still a good day. A blessing of life to give us another chance. An opportunity for God to show up on our lives like never before.
Rejoice in every day my brothers. For they are all good.
Lets pray...
“Lord thank you for this new day. No matter what happens I choose to rejoice in it and be glad about it. Today IS a good day. In Jesus name, Amen” |
