God reserves the right to fulfill his promise how he pleases.
When you are called to “bust a faith move” the destination is always exciting. Envisioning yourself obtaining what you set your faith towards fuels you forward.
The reality is most of us are fine with what God wants to do in our lives, but struggle with accepting how He chooses to do it.
Only God will promise a man descendants amounting more than the stars, then call him to sacrifice his only born son.
Only God can promise salvation to the world by allowing His son to die the most brutal death in history.
They way God fulfills his promise to you will never match up to your expectations, but it will always exceed them.
It truly takes for you to remain broken and humble before God to be willing to accept whatever path He calls you to. Your faith and trust in him will be tested by the level you are willing to obey at all times.
Receiving what God wants to do in your life is a great start. Accepting how He chooses to fulfill it will lead to a great finish.
Let’s pray…
“Father, forgive me for putting my preferences over your promise. I want what you have for me, but at times am unwilling to do it your way. Break me Lord. Remove every ounce of pride in my life that makes my decision bigger than your promise. Show me how to obey even when it hurts and I am doubtful. Lord you are my compass. The only way I can navigate to fulfilling my purpose in life is through your ordered steps for me. Today I accept your path. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
