Daily encouragement for men of faith
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

~ 1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV
There is a fine line between faith and foolishness.

When God is stretching your faith to new limits you will have thoughts in your mind that tell you you’re crazy. It will almost feel like you have lost touch with reality.

The fact of the matter is…you have.

You have decided to let go of “reality” and accept the reality of Christ. A true reality that can only be lived by walking in faith.

So what that the world thinks your crazy. Who cares if your family looks at you like you’ve lost your mind. Just ignore all the doubters that tell you you’re being too spiritual.

They don’t understand the cross anyway. So no matter what you do, as long as it is operating in faith it will be looked at as foolishness.

And it’s something you should be proud of. The more foolish you appear in the world by exercising your faith, the closer to being Christ-like you are.

I am a living witness that exercising great faith is the only path to your promise. I also know it is the hardest thing you will ever be called to do.

You will have times where you just need someone to tell you that you’re not crazy and you’re still in God’s will.

It’s at those times that you need to be very careful who you ask and talk to. Without understanding how God works, and the process involved with living by faith; they can easily persuade you that you are indeed foolish.

And just like that you can forfeit your promise.

Friend, stay the course and remain faithful. Don’t look to the world to make sense out of the faith walk God has called you to.

It will never make sense to them. But the glory you give to God once it’s complete may just bring them to Christ.

Lets pray…

“Father I know you have called me to walk by great faith. Help me to keep focused on you when the judgement of others distracts me. Surround me with faith filled men that I can lean on in times of doubt and fear. Remind me to stop looking at the world and what has been done for validation that I am on the right path. You are doing a new thing in me and I know you are with me and will never forsake me. I pray these things in Jesus name…Amen.”
