STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Meet our May Student of the month - Boden Everett.

Boden has been learning under the guidance of instructor Tom Luther. Tom has this to say about his student:

"Boden has been doing excellent work developing his learning process in his weekly lessons. He is enthusiastic and excited about music and avidly applies himself to piano. The thing that I have found remarkable is how he has been able to overcome his initial struggles with the reality of private lessons.

Boden had early challenges with being in formalized lessons owing largely to him being most comfortable as an independent learner. While having that degree of initiative is always a plus there comes a time where we need to give up a degree of control and trust that our teachers will help guide us on our path. Boden has shown a very high degree of resilience and adaptability despite the early challenges and continues to grow his process and his skills. I am so proud of the work he has been doing, his persistence, and his willingness to have open and honest conversations about how we structure his lessons and where we can make adjustments. Boden is the model of an effective student and I'm excited to see how he develops his art."
