STUDIO UPDATES

Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday with loved ones. It's great to have everyone back in the studio making music!

WINTER RECITAL

Join us Sunday, January 29th at 2pm at the Strand Theatre in Rockland for our end of semester recital! Enjoy performances by students of all ages, ranging from classical piano to digital improvisation to rock band.

Admission is free - $10 donation suggested.

MEET OUR STUDENT OF THE MONTH!

Lorelai has been studying piano with Tom Luther since September.

Tom writes, "Lorelai came in with some substantial accomplishments and has been enthusiastic about deepening her experience. We’ve been focusing on building a learning process, rather than achieving a result. This means putting the attention on how we learn rather than what we learn, and it requires the student to be very intentional and aware of how they practice.

Lorelai has been open and receptive to the

idea, despite some initial challenges with adapting her practice. She’s shown great resilience as we dig further into fundamental concepts, practice methods, and above all letting go of the idea of perfection as a goal.

With each lesson her confidence, understanding, and self-reliance is growing. I am very proud of the work she has put in. It is never easy to shift away from comfortable patterns into new and unexplored territory, but like a true explorer, Lorelai has accepted the challenge and is off to her brave new world."

SPRING SEMESTER REGISTRATION

In-house registration is currently underway! All fall semester students have been sent an email regarding registration for the spring. Register today to maintain your current time slot.

Early Bird Special! We are happy to offer currently registered students who register & pay in full by Friday, January 13th a 10% tuition discount (cannot be combined with tuition assistance).

Registration for new (or returning after time away) students opens on Monday, January 16th. We offer instruction for all ages on most instruments.

MUSIC TOGETHER WINTER REGISTRATION

There are still spaces left in our winter session classes! Classes begin the week of January 16th in Belfast, Rockland and Rockport.

Join us for music and movement classes for 0-5 year olds and the grownups who love them!

FACULTY UPDATES

TOM LUTHER

Tom Luther recently performed his "Meditations on Perihelion" program to a sold out house at The Versant Power Astronomy Center and Jordan Planetarium. The companion album has been released and is available on Bandcamp. Click the link below to access!

Tom will be performing this material as well as a new work as "Spheremusik" this Friday January 13 at the Pour Farm in Union. Also performing is the duo Quantam. Sets start at 5:30.

ALYSSA KELLY

Our own Music Together teacher Alyssa Kelly will be performing the first Friday of each month as a part of Toddy Pond Farm's Winter Dinner series. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy her gorgeous vocals! Reservations are required.
