                                                                   FEBRUARY 2022

                                                                                               STUDIO UPDATES

As we begin our spring semester here at MCMA, we are incredibly grateful that even during these trying times, we are still able to fill our halls with music. This month marks our 10th Birthday! We'll have more information coming your way as plans to celebrate come to fruition. We also want to introduce our February student of the month and to give information about our hybrid recital that took place February 6th.

And as always, if you're interested in trying out a lesson to see if it's a good fit for you, please send us a message. We'd love to schedule you an introductory lesson!

MEET OUR STUDENT OF THE MONTH!

This month's Student of the Month is Logan Young. His instructor, Joe Cough had this to say about Logan:

"I've been working with Logan for a few years now, and he's been a blessing to work with the entire time. He has the gift of intrinsic motivation, and applies that to his guitar playing. His aural intuition is remarkable, not just given his age, but also for anyone. He knows that kind of music he's into, and uses that as leverage to develop his guitar skills, especially this year, in which he has had a major developmental leap in proficiency. I'm always amazed at his love of music, and I personally find it inspirational. He is the very definition of a self-motivated learner."

HYBRID WINTER RECITAL UPDATE

The live version of our hybrid Winter Recital was filmed live at the Strand Theatre in Rockland on Sunday! Thank you to all of the rock star students who performed! Scott Sell will be compiling everyone's wonderful video submissions with Sunday's filming - stay tuned for the YouTube premiere of the full recital film coming soon!

MCMA's 10th BIRTHDAY!

February marks MCMA's 10th Birthday! The last two years have seen some real challenges, and it's an amazing time to reflect on how far we've come. From one room upstairs on Main Street, Rockland, to our lovingly created home at 279 Main, to our very own building in Rockport, our community of musicians and music lovers has grown and flourished. We're so grateful to our founder and awesome instructor Tom Ulichny, whose blood, sweat & tears created MCMA out of a dream. Expect an invitation to our 10th birthday bash (this spring in Rockland) soon - much more to follow!
