And last but most definitely NOT least - we are beyond excited to announce that we are hosting a masterclass with one of the best drummers in the world on Saturday, September 30th at 4pm!

Calling all drummers, drum lovers, musicians and music educators! Join Midcoast Music Academy for the incredible opportunity to hear and learn from the world renowned drummer and Professor of Percussion at Berklee College of Music, Dave DiCenso, live in action at the Strand Theatre!

Dave has performed worldwide with artists as diverse as Josh Groban, Hiromi, John Petrucci, Duran Duran, and Carole King, as well as made numerous television appearances including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, CSI New York, and Live at Lincoln Center. An equally skilled educator, Dave also has earned a devoted international following for his workas an online educator, drum-camp teacher, and clinician at events such as NAMM, PASIC, and Modern Drummer Festival.

In this intimate masterclass, which includes a performance and audience Q&A, Dave will explore concepts from his new book, Fluid Fills and Musical Phrasing, which provides students with a system for increasing their vocabulary while improving timing, flow, musicality, and listening skills. Whether you are an advanced drummer, just getting started, or simply love drumming and music in general, you will not want to miss this opportunity!
