Logan has been studying guitar with Amory since January of 2023. Amory has this to say about his student: “Logan is an exemplary student that displays many of the traits of an MCMA Student of the Month. To begin with, he’s punctual. Rain or shine, Logan is always on time and prepared for his lesson. He works steadily and is not easily discouraged when things get difficult. As a result, he’s been making steady, consistent progress.
Logan is totally open, enthusiastic and not afraid of ambitious material, so we were able to learn both open chords and bar chords in tandem and start building his repertoire. He also has excellent retention. It’s useful because we can touch on something briefly then come back to it later in the semester with an improved skill set and polish it off easily. These moments are always the payoff.
Currently, Logan is working on smoothing out his strumming technique and leveling up his fretting hand to move on to some intermediate level, riff-oriented, heavy metal classics.” |
