It may be about your job/promotion or your services.
Let me tell you, the first reaction most people have is a Negative one - "He/ She will reject me"
This is because of NEGATIVITY BIAS
👉A negativity bias is state or tendency to give more significance to the negative experiences than to positive or neutral experiences.
In our example, the other person hasn't said a yes or a no to us, yet we start presuming that the outcome won't be good.
And in most situations that's what we get.
Not because that was meant to happen, but because we created this reality.

Your Negativity bias can negatively impact your Personal & Career Brand
👉Negativity Bias is a result of our natural evolution.
Earlier in human history, paying attention to negative threat & danger was essential for our survival & thus, even today our brain tries to keep us safe from danger.
Our brain responses more to negative stimuli than to a positive one.
👉This impacts our decision-making process, risk-taking appetite, relationships & mental health.
And this is just not about JOB OR PROMOTION.
We face this every single day in numerous situations.
Now since we've learnt that this is a BIAS & is NATURAL, it's time to deal with it.
When people say they need time, let's shift our focus & pattern of thinking to all the positives.
Think 👉The Recruiter or HR manager
1- Liked my attitude
2- Listened to me patiently
3- Asked me relevant questions
4- Looked happy throughout the conversation
5- Need more time to complete the process
6- Might have to discuss with their seniors
7- Have to do my background check
8- Wants to evaluate me on more criterias
This simple shift in your thought process will keep you in a positive & happy zone.
