Today is the last day to comment on a proposed rule that would end the e-commerce exemption for small almond producers. 

Currently small growers of almonds can advertise and sell through e-commerce. In other words, these growers may engage in internet sales while remaining exempt from regulations required of larger industrial producers of almonds. This means that small producers would likely be forced to close, despite providing a healthy and nutrient-dense food.
