Subject: Joel Salatin in Jackson Hole, WY October 2-3!

Dear Friend,

We at Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) are teaming up with Slow Food in the Tetons to bring Joel Salatin to the Farm-to-Fork Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on October 2 and 3!

If you don’t know Joel, he’s the lead rockstar of the regenerative agriculture movement in the U.S. and beyond! Joel and Polyface Farms were popularized by Michael Pollan’s New York Times bestseller The Omnivore’s Dilemma. You may have also seen Joel in the award-winning documentary Food Inc. and many others. Joel is known for his entertaining speeches often receiving standing ovations and for his dozen well-received and engaging books.

We are thrilled that this outdoors event is happening. There have been roadblocks to planning the event due to COVID-19 and most of our other fundraising events for the year have been cancelled.

On the eve of Friday, October 2, we will be co-hosting an event entitled Wyoming Food Politics and the Future of Food, with Joel Salatin, local and state government officials, and Slow Food in the Tetons. Please save the date for this exciting event. We will honor successes and discuss future policy improvements as well as how to strengthen the local food system.

On Saturday, October 3, Joel Salatin will be the keynote speaker, addressing how the local food movement can save the US food system, particularly in times of COVID-19. In addition to Joel speaking, the event includes workshops (including a farmer FAQ with Joel), a farmers market, a silent auction, and lunch and dinner for purchase prepared by local partner Trio Restaurant.

Who’s going to be there? Joel Salatin, of course! Food freedom legislators from the region, like-minded small farmers, lovers of real food, those looking to learn new food skills, and more. And I can’t wait to road trip from Wisconsin out to Wyoming to be there, too!

Please save the date, October 2-3, 2020, for this exciting live event.

Tickets are not yet on sale but will be soon so check back HERE to find out more and get your tickets.

Would you like to donate an item for Saturday’s Silent Auction? Reply to this email and let us know!

I hope to see you in Wyoming.

In good health,
