Today We Decide What Tomorrow Will Be! Throughout the Year FTCLDF Fights for the Rights of Our Nation's Independent Producers

Dear Friend,

Thank you to Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund members, donors, followers, and all in this community for your support through a busy, inspiring, and demanding year.

Local policy makers continue to create place barrier to, rather than support for, independent producers of local, nutritious foods.

"FTCLDF and its members and allies continue to resist through public interest litigation, member legal representation, education, and policy work. We are committed to the truth that, “Today we decide what tomorrow will be.”

Public Interest Litigation: FTCLDF continues to seek change through litigation like defending the Maine Food Sovereignty Act and the Maine Constitutional Amendment to Right to Food, Right to Farm in Michigan, and other states.

Immediate Member Legal Needs: In 2024 we supported our members by providing member legal services, legal documents and agreements, and responding to emergency needs like farm raids, HPAI H5N1investigations, and animal control issues.

Education: FTCLDF continues to increase and improve its educational offerings with live member webinars, legal presentations, publications, and web-based resources.

Policy Efforts: FTCLDF continues to collaborate with allies and members to effect positive policy change on efforts like Oregon CAFO rules, RFID, Federal Meat Inspection Act, and the Prime Act.

FTCLDF sincerely thanks those who have supported this work throughout the year.
