ACTION ALERT: Act Now for Meat Processing in New Hampshire! Hearing Feb. 18!

Strength in Numbers

Dear Friend,

New Hampshire House Bill 396, which would expand access to locally produced meat will be presented at a hearing scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST on Feb. 18, 2025 in the Legislative Office Building, Room 301-303.

You may also access a livestream of the hearing here

Currently, meat processed by custom exempt facilities can only be delivered back to the owner of the animal for consumption in the owner’s household. The new bill would allow meat from animals processed at custom exempt facilities to be sold to consumers anywhere within the state.

If unable to attend in person and submit testimony, there will also be an option to submit online testimony here.
