ACTION ALERT: Act Now for Cottage Food in Connecticut! Hearing Is Feb.14!

Strength in Numbers

Dear Friend,

Connecticut Senate Bill 154, will be heard at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 in Hartford, C.T. The bill would allow cottage food operations to sell products at any farm store or cafe within a 20 mile radius of the production kitchen.

Currently, cottage food operators in Connecticut are only allowed to sell their products on their farm or homestead, but this bill would expand the opportunities for cottage food businesses to sell their goods.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. EST on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 in Room 1A in the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, C.T. If you are unable to attend in person, there will also be an option for those interested in testifying to do so via Zoom.
