These events are a very low cost or even free method of building your list.
You can enter JV giveaways for free, but I have paid for an upgrade which gets me higher up in the pecking order, so my offer will be on Page 2 (as it currently stands).
I currently only have the one gift in the event, but the event lasts for 2 weeks, so I add another one if I have time.
I'll let you know my opinion on whether it's a decent list-building strategy once the event is over :)
The good news for you is that you can get your hands all manner of marketing goodies that would normally cost you a small fortune and the hand in marriage of your first-born child ;)
