I went to see Frozen II with my hubby at the weekend...

No we don't have young kids.

And yes he was a reluctant participant. Lol!

But we both loved it and were both blubbing towards the end. Shh! Don't tell him I told you ;)

Here is part 3 of my affiliate marketing with video tips...

Last week I explained how you can do a little light launch jacking to make more money from affiliate marketing (no hype required)

And I told you about a free resource that will help you rank your YouTube videos:

Sign up for a free TubeBuddy account here

Today I'm going to give you a few more tips on using TubeBuddy, ranking your videos and making more affiliate sales.

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but if you are new to affiliate marketing via YouTube videos here's what you need to do:

Install TubeBuddy - I use it on Chrome, so cannot vouch for Firefox or any other versions.

In YouTube search for a broad term (keyword) – eg funnel builder

On the right hand side of the page, TubeBuddy will show you:
  • Search volume for the keyword
  • Keyword score – how easy it is to rank
  • Related searches
  • Most used tags
  • You can use the overall score along with the tags etc to find good keywords to target
Look at your competitors for the style of videos to create.

On an individual video page, TubeBuddy gives you:
  • Tags used by the video creator
  • Total views
  • The best practices the video conforms to
  • Look at the title and tags etc that your competitor is using for ideas of keywords you can use
    - save these and use them in your own videos on the topic (TB makes it very easy to do this)

To help with SEO & sales, do the following when uploading your video
  • Create maybe one review video and 3 or 4 videos looking at different aspects of the product, or how to videos
  • Add a long description for your video – 250 words minimum
  • Title should be something like "Product Name Review" but look at what your competitors are doing
  • Link to a bridge page from the description
    - Offer a free report in return for an email address and then forward them to the affiliate offer
    - You could even offer a short course on getting started with the product
    - When the product launches, email the list of people who signed up to make more sales
  • Add as many tags as you can - use your competitors tags if they are getting a decent number of views (200+)
  • You can also improve your affiliate sales by offering relevant bonuses on your bridge page
  • Alternatively you could link to a blog post where you review the product and offer a free report as well
  • Also link to anything else you might want people to do – eg Join your FB Group
  • Remember to use an affiliate disclaimer in your description to let people know that you will get a commission for any sales
So that concludes part 3 of my tips on how to make good commissions from affiliate marketing with launch-jacking.

Let me know if you found it useful :)

And as always, just hit reply with any questions.

May the Force be with you!
