Subject: 2 x zero cost tools to use on your blog... =?utf-8?B?8J+RgA?=

I've just been playing with the Sumo WordPress plugin.

In case you don't know, they have now made a lot of the Pro features free.

Unfortunately, it still won't let you integrate an autoresponder...

However, I have just been experimenting with it and it now has some very nice templates.

Although you can't build your list directly with it, you can add an exit popup that will redirect to any page on the click of a button.

In theory, you could send visitors to your squeeze page, but I have just added one to redirect to my FREE Facebook group.

Check out my blog to see the popup in action. If you hang around there for a few seconds and then try to exit the site the popup should appear.

It looks like this:

If the popup is not showing, try using an incognito window.

I'm not too sure about the colours yet, so let me know what you think of it :)

There is plenty of other functionality such as heatmaps and content analytics too, but I won't go into those here. You can have a play with it yourself.

You can search for it from your WordPress dashboard or download it from here.

The other free tool is Hello Bar, which DOES allow you to hook it up to your Autoresponder.

Hello Bar lets you create a message bar at the bottom or top of your site which you can use for a call to action.

The one on my blog has an opt-in box.

So, there you have it, 2 free tools that you can use today :)

Any questions, hit reply.

May the Force be with you!

Sally

Hi there! I'm Sally Lazarus! I'm an Online Marketer, wife, mother and massive geek…

I started out as a programmer many moons ago, before the Internet as we know it was born… No, not when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! How rude! :P

I've been working online since late 2011. I don't claim to be some sort of guru, but I aim to make the techie stuff easier for you by sharing my best tools, tips, tricks and step-by-step methods to help you get things done more quickly, leaving you more time to do the stuff that actually makes money.

I'm an ethical marketer and always check things out properly before I share them with you. I wouldn't recommend anything that I didn't believe in or wouldn't use myself :)
