Did you know that if you live in Victoria, Australia, it's illegal to change a lightbulb unless you're a qualified electrician?
Say what?!
Got to wonder if everyone breaks the law...
Or maybe the whole of Victoria is sitting in the dark...
I worry about these things... ;)
Anyway, if you have multiple WordPress sites, and don't have WP management software, would you like a time-saving way to update them?
I worked out a system to update my sites after my WP management dashboard stopped working...
And I don't miss it at all. Here's how I update my WordPress sites now:
First I have a folder on my bookmarks bar that contains links to the update-core.php page for each of my sites...
Each link will look something like this: https://yoursitename.com/wp-admin/update-core.php
I also have Dashlane password manager, which logs me into my sites automatically.
Or you can get $20 towards a premium account using the above link. Anyway, once all my sites are bookmarked, all I have to do is hit "open all bookmarks" and I'm logged into everything and ready to update.
Then it's just a question of clicking each tab in turn and updating. I don't wait for it to finish, just go to the next tab and repeat. Then check they're all done at the end.
You could probably save a bit of time getting a WP Manager plugin, but this way is free and pretty quick (assuming you don't have hundreds of sites!)
If you'd like a more detailed PDF version of this info, complete with screenshots, just join my free Marketing Geekery Facebook group and you can download it from the Files section.
Any questions, just hit reply.
May the Force be with you!
