Thanks to your support and generosity, we served over 300,000 guests last year through exhibits, shows, educational programs, and special events.
As you consider your year-end giving, please think about making a donation to Sloan Museum of Discovery or Longway Planetarium. It means so much to the residents of our community and helps us keep providing programming in history, science and social studies for reduced (or free) cost to the kids. Your contributions to our mission of engaging the communities on a learning journey of history and science inspire us to keep innovating, growing, and evolving.
This year, we have some specific areas of need. If you would like to dedicate your gift to one of these areas below, please email Debbe Campbell, Development Director, or call (810) 237-7331, or click HERE and indicate your preference. If you would like to make a general gift please donate online here:
Partner Schools: Sloan and Longway Educators partner with teachers at Flint Schools to help teach hands-on science. Current partnering elementary schools are Hamady, Neithercut, Dailey, Freeman, and our newest partner Brownell STEM Academy! Your contributions will help with class supplies, travel, and salaries for our education team.
Community Car Exhibition: Sloan Museum is working with the local historic vehicle owners to showcase their cars in the Durant Gallery on a rotating basis. Your donations would support this new community exhibition space.
New Laser Light Show System: Laser light shows were a staple at Longway until the system became obsolete. Longway will once again be able to offer this very classic planetarium experience for show-goers.
Thank you for helping our kids thrive in the new year with opportunities to explore science and history, and just plain fun! (Non-profit tax ID # 82-2978635)
