| | Volunteer Coordinator
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery / Longway Planetarium
Reports To: Director of Education and Outreach/CPO of FISH
FLSA Status: Exempt – Full Time
**The salary range for this position is 41k-49k, based on experience**
Job Description: The Volunteer Coordinator will develop, maintain, and promote a wide range of volunteer opportunities, supporting all departments within the organization. This position will work closely with department managers to ascertain volunteer support needs, recruit and place volunteers in appropriate assignments, and ensure the proper coordination and supervision of all volunteer activities. |
| | Guest Services Representative
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery/Longway Planetarium
Reports To: Guest Services Manager
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
Pay Rate: **This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $12.00 per hour to start – must be available to work weekends**
Job Description: The Guest Services Representative is responsible for providing exceptional guest service to both patrons and internal customers. The Representative will handle gift shop sales, admission tickets, and light cleaning to ensure that the facilities are neat, clean and welcoming to our visitors.

| | Planetarium Presenter
Location: Longway Planetarium
Reports To: Planetarium Manager

Pay Rate: **The starting rate for this position is $13.50/hour – must be available to work weekends**
Job Description: The Planetarium Presenter is responsible for presenting public programming at the Longway Planetarium. Presenting modalities will include the fixed and portable planetarium.

| | Barista - Coffee Beanery Cafe'
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery
Reports To: Café Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
**This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $12.00 per hour – must be available to work weekends**
Job Description: The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and products. The barista fulfills any other duties the supervisor assigns and represents Coffee Beanery and Sloan Museum of Discovery in a professional manner.

Job Description: Under the direction of the Special Events Manager and Coordinator, the Special Events Technician performs set up and tear down duties at events in the museum and planetarium. The position also provides exceptional customer service to both patrons and internal customers. |
| | Floor Staff
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery
Department: Education
Reports To: Curator of Education and Outreach
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt *This is Part Time Position working approx. 20 hours per week. Pay rate is $12.50/HR, increasing to $13.00/hr upon successful completion of the first ninety days*
Job Description: Floor staff are an integral part of engaging visitors at the Sloan Museum of Discovery. Staff in this position will actively engage with and provide assistance to visitors as they explore the museum galleries. They will be knowledgeable about the museum’s operations in order to aid visitors, volunteers, and staff. Floor staff will provide demonstrations, tours, and activities on gallery floors and in other program spaces, answer questions and provide information, and ensure that the galleries are clean and safe. This position will also assist the Exhibit department with minor on-the-floor exhibit maintenance.
