Dear Friend, I hope this letter finds you and your family well. Times like these remind us how thankful we are to have such great contributors to help us continue to fulfill our mission here at Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium. With school closures continuing for the rest of the school year, we know our community can benefit from our educational programming now more than ever. Our education team is working hard on innovative ways to help keep youth engaged in the exciting world of science and history by providing Daily Dose of Science videos online. In hopes of expanding this programming, we will be hosting a new virtual dance party fundraiser, Mix and Mingle. This online event will be hosted via Zoom and give our friends the opportunity to socialize, show off their sweet dance moves, and bid on unique items in our online silent auction—all while supporting these virtual education efforts. We have decided to make this a free event with a suggested donation (any level of giving is appreciated). Mix and Mingle will take place Wednesday, April 22, 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Zoom. All proceeds from this event will help us continue to provide free, accessible online STEM and history programming during these special conditions. I am asking, if you are able, to share this event with your friends and coworkers so we can reach as many people as possible. If you are interested in registering for the event, becoming a sponsor, or would just like to donate, you can visit SloanLongway.org/Mingle or the Mix & Mingle Facebook Event. Once you register, further instructions will be sent on how to access the online event. You can get a head start by downloading the Zoom app on your phone or computer. Thank you again for being such a great supporter of Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium; we are so fortunate. Together, we can make a difference.
Clear Skies,
