Haunted Hallway - Oct. 27-30, 4-7 p.m.Location: Longway Planetarium
Enhance your Ooky Spooky Light Show experience with a trip through our Haunted Hallway. This family friendly haunt will offer spooky fun in our black light hallway that is fun for all ages. The haunted house is $2 per person and takes about 10 minutes to walk through.

Halloween Hootenanny - Saturday, Oct. 15, 5-8 p.m.Location: Longway Planetarium
Grab your little monster and boogie the night away at our annual Halloween Hootenanny. Show off your best monster mash! Costumes are welcome but not required. Includes a special 6 p.m. showing of the Ooky Spooky Light Show. Tickets are limited so reserve your's today!

Have a ghoulishly good time with these fast-paced and fun Halloween-themed activities and experiments. Set off a chemical reaction that makes a ghost fly, build a catapult to launch Halloween candy, make a bubbling, color-changing potion, and more! Grab a slice of pizza before heading into the Planetarium for the Ooky Spooky Light Show. |

Spooky Science - Sat., Oct. 22 or 29, 10 a.m.-Noonfor families with children ages 8 years and under
Location: Longway Planetarium It’s “spooky season!” We’ll have a howling good time exploring chemistry, physics, and engineering with a Halloween twist. Use forces and motion to make a spider crawl up its web, build an edible haunted house, and squish your fingers into an ooey, gooey creation.

Sloan Book Club - Thursday, Oct. 6, 6-8 p.m. Every first Thursday of the month from 6-8 p.m. Sloan will host a drop-in book club in one of the museum's learning labs. Each month we will gather to discuss a different book affiliated with Flint's storied history. Don't forget to grab a beverage or sandwich from our on-site Coffee Beanery Café before joining the discussion. Free club (included with Museum general admission fee).
The October book being discussed is Chevy in the Hole, by Kelsey Ronan. You may purchase featured books in person at the Sloan Museum Store or anywhere you buy your books. Books are usually available at your local library or through your favorite audio book app as well. |

Lego Club - Saturday, Oct. 8, 10-11:30 a.m.Free monthly drop-in workshop for all ages! Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery
Love Legos? We do, too! Join us on the 2nd Saturday each month for a building challenge with the museum’s Legos, or build your own idea. Lego Club is open to Lego-lovers of all ages. We even have Duplo bricks for our littlest learners. All materials must stay at the museum to share with other families.

Every 1st Wednesday evening of the month 5:30-8 p.m., the Sloan Museum of Discovery will stay open with a cash bar so curious adults can play like kids again! We'll have activities in the Discovery Lab maker space and the entire museum will be open for adults to explore kid-free.
