Karaoke Night @ The Sloan! Wed., November 1, 5:30-8 p.m. Sloan Museum of Discovery, 1221 E. Kearsley St., Flint
Grab some friends and come sing your heart out! Featuring a live DJ, cash bar, drink specials and thousands of songs to choose from! Food and beverages will also be available for purchase at the Coffee Beanery Café. These events are for Adults 21+; valid ID required for entry. Sloan's Historical Book Club - FREE! Thursday, November 2, 6 p.m. Every first Thursday of the month from 6-8 p.m., Sloan Museum of Discovery hosts a FREE drop-in book club in one of the museum's learning labs. Each month you will gather to discuss a different book affiliated with Flint's storied history, facilitated by your Book Club host and educator, Jacquie Richardson.
The featured November book is Miguel Cabrera: The Inspirational Story of Baseball Superstar Miguel Cabrera, by Bill Redban. You may purchase featured books in person at the Sloan Museum Store, or anywhere you buy your books. Books are usually available at your local library or through your favorite audio book app as well.

Late Night Thursday @ The Sloan Thurs., November 9, open until 8 p.m. Every 2nd Thursday of the month, join us at Sloan Museum of Discovery for extended hours! All galleries, including the special REAL BODIES temporary exhibit, are open until 8 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the month. The Coffee Beanery Cafe is open until 7 p.m. Stay, play, and grab some food and drink every second Thursday through January 14, 2024! FREE general admission for Genesee County residents (Real Bodies exhibit is a separate ticket). Buy general admission tickets in advance here or buy in person at Guest Services.

Lego Club - Sat., November 11, 10-11:30 a.m.Free monthly drop-in workshop for all ages! Location: Discovery Lab - Sloan Museum
Love Legos? We do, too! Join us on the 2nd Saturday each month from 10-11:30 a.m. for a building challenge with the museum’s Legos, or build your own idea. Lego Club is open to Lego-lovers of all ages. We even have Duplo bricks for our littlest learners. All materials must stay at the museum to share with other families.

REAL BODIES: The Exhibition showing through January 14, 2024 Location: FUN Gallery, Sloan Museum Exhibit Hours: Open Tuesday-Saturday 10:15 a.m.-5 p.m. and 10:15-8 p.m. 2nd Thursday of the month (tickets are timed for entry; the exhibit takes approximately 45 minutes to see, but you can stay as long as the museum is open). Genesee County Residents: FREE (Tickets are still required at guest services or online)
Discounted Combo Tickets (a good choice for non-Genesee County residents): Make it a day of discovery in history and science! Discounted combo-tickets for the same day visit are available for Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium, located across the street off East Kearsley in the beautiful Flint Cultural Center campus.
