Watch this video for a sneak peek at the newest donations to the new Sloan Museum of Discovery history collections. The Curator of Collections, Geoff Woodcox, was interviewed in November after he took delivery of the artifacts from Native American beadwork artist Adam Avery. The items will eventually be going into the Anishinabek People section of the new history gallery which highlights the Native Americans who called this area home before the European settlers arrived. The artifacts include pow wow regalia, a bandolier bag, moccasins, and a set of hide clothing styled as it would have looked before European contact. |
