“2theXTREME” OPENS AT SLOAN MUSEUM FEBRUARY 1, 2025
-New Traveling Exhibit Engages Kids with Interactive & Educational Entertainment-

Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint, Michigan, will open “
2theXtreme-A Radical Interactive Exhibit” February 1, 2025. The highly engaging exhibit will feature approximately 32 different stations where guests will participate in snowboarding games, music, video, fashion, photography, cyber security design, dance, and many other activities. The interactive exhibits are organized into six themed main stations:
• Outdoor Action ... Adventure Sports
• Build Your World … Environment
• Future Style … Style and Design
• Kickin’ It … Entertainment
• Game Plan
• Robotics and Space
“Today’s young people are the innovators of tomorrow,” said Todd Slisher, Executive Director of Sloan Museum of Discovery. “With fun, hands-on exhibits such as
2theXtreme, Sloan Museum aims to inspire the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians,” stated Slisher, who was also instrumental in bringing the traveling exhibit to Flint.
2theXtreme is ideal for kids in middle school, but recommended for kids ages 8+.
2theXtreme is produced by Evergreen Exhibitions in collaboration with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Society of Professional Engineers, MATHCOUNTS and the Society of Women Engineers.
The 5000 square foot special traveling exhibit will open February 1 and run through May 11 inside Sloan Museum’s FUN Gallery. An entry ticket for the
2theXtreme exhibit is $5 per person in addition to General Admission fees and will include access to all four of Sloan Museum’s primary history and science gallery spaces. General Admission is free for all Genesee County residents, active military and their immediate family members, military veterans, teachers, and Members of Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium.
