Girl Scout Workshops and Overnights 
Girls Scout science workshops are starting up in October with badge programs for Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador levels. All Scout workshops and overnights take place at either Sloan Museum of Discovery or Longway Planetarium. DAISY BADGE WORKSHOPS:
Outdoor Art | Workshop

Explore the outdoors using what you see and hear to make different kinds of art projects. See the colors and, hear the sounds of nature. Share your outdoor art. Look at nature like an artist to create your own outdoor art.

Space scientists are people who study outer space—what’s in the sky. In this badge, you can be a space scientist as you look at the sky and talk about what you see!

Are you ready to explore the wiggly, squiggly, crawling world of insects? Create a bug box, look at different types of bug homes, use magnifying glasses to look at our bugs and use their imagination to build a bug of their own to take home.

Learn about scale models of our solar system and about the Earth’s cycle around the Sun. Discover the beauty of the night sky and create a model constellation. Use your knowledge to create a model Mars Rover. Create a mural of what you learned to share with younger Scouts.

Design, Build, Test, Learn. Follows these steps as you create a crane, paddle boat, balloon car. How fast will your car go? How much weight can your crane lift? Is there a way to make your paddle boat turn? Explore how engineers think as they work through the process.

People began by organizing the sky into constellations, cataloging the stars by brightness, and then - the invention of the telescope harnessed the power of light and expanded our view! Now, it’s your turn to explore light and discover what it teaches us about the Universe!
