Join us for a conversation exploring Driving While Black with Dr. Gretchen Sorin. As we reimagine the Sloan Museum of Discovery, we are partnering with our community to tell inclusive narratives exploring Greater Flint history. Dr. Sorin’s father was born in Flint, Michigan, and her research connects national historical narratives around mobility, racial inequality, travel, and civil rights to the experiences of African Americans in the Vehicle City.
