| | We at Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium have really been missing our friends. Though our educators have been working hard on our virtual educational programming to give you your Daily Dose of Science, we miss seeing your faces. That's why we are presenting a virtual dance party and fundraiser, Mix and Mingle!
We hope you can join us for a silent auction, familiar faces, super sweet dance moves, and DJ Kori J. Try out this recipe for a signature drink that you can make at home, and share a virtual toast with us during the party.
Lemon Drop Signature Drink Recipe
Place a small pile of sugar on a plate. Take a martini glass and either with a lemon half or water, wet the rim. Dip the rim of the glass in the sugar, getting a nice coating around the rim. Add all ingredients except club soda in a cocktail shaker and shake for 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into the martini glass. For mocktail, top with club soda. Garnish with lemon peel or anything else you'd like! Enjoy.
Cocktail Ingredients
2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. triple sec
1 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
Sugar
Mocktail Ingredients
1.25 oz. lemon juice
3/4 oz. simple syrup
Sugar
Ice
2.5 oz. club soda, chilled |

All proceeds from the auction will benefit Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium’s operations.

This is a free event, with a suggested donation. Any amount you can give, large or small, helps sustain our operations during this uncertain time, including preserving over 50,000 historical artifacts and presenting virtual experiences with science and history. Donations of $100 or more will be recognized during the event.
