Cub Scout Leaders! Sign Up for Cub Scout Workshops Starting in November 2024
Cub Scout Workshops at Sloan Museum of Discovery
Cub Scout science workshops are starting up in November with badge programs for Tigers, Bear, Webelo and Wolf badge levels. All Scout workshops take place at the Sloan Museum of Discovery. TIGERS BADGE WORKSHOP:
Good Knights Workshop
Date: 11/16/2024
Time: 1 - 4 p.m.
Limit: 30 Participants
Cost: $15 Scouts
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery | Green Lab
Description: Travel back in time to learn all about knights who lived many years ago, and find out what knights and Scouts have in common. Tiger Cubs will create a code of chivalry, make their own shields, build a small castle out of recycled materials, and participate in an obstacle course adventure!
BEAR BADGE WORKSHOP:
Super Science Workshop
Date: 12/7/2024
Time: 1 - 4 p.m.
Limit: 30 Participants
Cost: $15 Scouts
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery | Green Lab
Description: Investigate density while designing and testing a foil boat that carries cargo and layering colored liquids. Use different methods to make colors change and explore static and electricity.
WEBELO BADGE WORKSHOP:
Build It Workshop
Date: 2/15/2025
Time: 1 - 4 p.m.
Limit: 30 Participants
Cost: $15 Scouts
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery | Discovery Lab
Description: Join us in the Discovery Lab where we will learn basic safety while working with power tools. Explore measurements, learn to read through instructions and construct your very own project!
WOLF BADGE WORKSHOP:
Air of the Wolf  Workshop
Date: 3/8/2025
Time: 1 - 4 p.m.
Limit: 30 Participants
Cost: $15 Scouts
Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery | Green Lab
Description: This amazing adventure is all about air! Conduct science investigations about the weight of air and air temperature, and build their own paper airplane. Explore moving air and sound, and create a musical wind instrument. Build a kite using simple materials, and learn how to fly a kite safely.
