It's random video Friday again, when I send you links to random stuff I find on YouTube and across the internet.
Although, I suppose the "random" part is a misnomer, since I do my best to send you videos that are humorous, entertaining, or thought-provoking.
Sometimes the videos I send out revolve around a theme, and that's the case with today's videos. Each of these videos provides a short tip (or tips) on working with or raising children.
If you teach kids, you're going to want to watch these videos.
First up...
Practically everyone who teaches martial arts to kids claims they "build confidence," but the fact is most haven't a clue how to do it. In this first video, Brian Tracy shares the three pillars of raising confident kids.
In my opinion, these three guidelines or directives are also the basic foundation of how to teach martial arts to kids. If you teach kids or plan to soon, this video is definitely worth watching:

I'm a huge fan of Carol Dweck's book, " Mindset." In addition to writing that groundbreaking work on mindset and success for adults, Dr. Dweck has done several studies on how to help children succeed.
In this first video from Dr. Dweck, she shares what parents and educators should focus on when praising children, and why over-praising (or "empty praising") is actually harmful to a kid's self-esteem:
This second video from Dr. Dweck provides more background on her studies involving children, and her findings on how to talk to kids so they develop a healthy success mindset:
Moving on...
In this final video, Tony Robbins explains why kids are the most powerful deterrent to bullying... that is, if they are taught to take action to stop it.
