Friend,
TGIF, right?
Well, unless you have to teach a full class schedule tomorrow. If so, I hope it's because your dojo is growing at a tremendous rate. If that's the case, then congrats.
Anyway, I have a few interesting and entertaining tidbits for you this Friday.
First, a satirical piece I wrote a while back that ruffled a few feathers. So of course, when I came across it recently I thought, "What the heck, why not send it out again?"
Alright, moving on...
Here's a video of jiu-jitsu practitioners behaving badly... and it's also a really good illustration of why jumping guard isn't the most practical tactic for self-defense:
And, here's a video by a BJJ instructor that every school owner can relate to titled, "BJJ Is Too Expensive":
Have a great Friday, and enjoy your weekend!
Until next time,

P.S. - Best part of that last video? The "days since ringworm outbreak" sign. :)
P.S.S. - Kind of sad that I have to state that an article is satire in the introduction, but I've found that it's often lost on people these days. Plus, there are a lot of people in this industry who are waaaay too serious. So, stating the obvious helps cut down on my hate mail; my apologies to those of you who can actually take a joke. |
