The subject i'm looking at today is free tipping services, and all importantly -
Are They Any Good?
To find the answer we need to look at the reasoning behind these offerings and as a tipster myself, I have a bit of an advantage here.
Tipsters generally run a free service to prove to their readers that they can in fact turn a profit. Proof is needed because trust is a major issue online, with many scam artists lurking in the corners. We are ever more careful with what we spend our hard earned on, and so we should be!
A free tipping service is generally used to build trust between someone like myself, and someone like yourself. This is, of course, only advantageous to myself if the tips I provide produce a profit.
It's therefore in my best interest to provide the best free tipping service as possible.
If the service is naff, you're not likely to continue following the service, let alone go anywhere near my paid subscription services.
So the answer is fairly plain and simple - tipster's must ensure their free services are up to scratch. Period.
This is of course great news for anyone looking at using free services - it's likely they are in fact profitable. However, paper trading / using small stakes is of course wise at first. The service is free after all, and if it's any good it will continue on long term, so there are no time restraints as such to test the service out.
Free tipster services (once proven) are a great addition to any betting portfolio, and in fact I use several in my own.
Along with my own betting methods and just the chosen few paid services, i've been able to create a wide and diverse betting portfolio without forking out a ridiculous amount in fees.
That about wraps it up for today. There's a free betting service i've been using for a while now that deserves a mention, but i'll share that with you later in the week.
