Yesterday, we talked about career self-sabotage Friend, and how common it is.
The day before, how self-sabotage is a way your subconscious mind proves you right when you have negative thoughts, insecurities, unsupportive behaviors or negative self-talk.
That's pretty frustrating when you're already feeling less than "all that and a bag of chips" and your own mind says, "Yep. You're really not that great." Ouch!
To take charge of your life, you must know how to tap into your subconscious mind to make adjustments from the inside out rather than wasting your time "trying" (implies failure) to do it from the outside in.
Your subconscious mind can be your best friend rather than your unintentional saboteur - which is what it does automatically because of how it works to protect you.

Weight loss self-sabotage
If you are a person who believes food causes weight gain instead of from feeling emotionally unsafe (the real cause of excess "padding" - read about Amanda below), you will eat things you believe aren't good for you to mess up your weight (and they WILL because you've trained your body and mind that way).
You may choose a diet you know is unsustainable or set your goals too high so you fail and prove to yourself you don't deserve to be slim and healthy. That you aren't good enough to have what you want. That other people are better and more deserving than you. That something in your past makes you damaged goods and you'll never feel good about yourself again.
See how toxic self-sabotage is to you as a human being? It masquerades as safety from what's scary but takes you down a dark, dangerous path.
