Hi Friend, how was your week? :)
Thank you for popping open this email. I appreciate your high standards that lead you to choose this one from all the others in your inbox! You truly ROCK!
I was reminded a couple hours ago about how easy it is to get stuck and to fling that stuck-ness that drains your spirit into oblivion and launch yourself into a new perspective that feeds your soul.
What I found that was keeping me stuck - and got me into HOT water with someone I care about (and scared me!) - was avoiding sorting some past stuff and putting it away.
It wasn't the emotional stuff (baggage) passed down from ancestors that keeps us ALL stuck, (and what I guide my clients through releasing once and for all)...
It was literally large plastic storage bins of stuff on my balcony that needed to be gone through...
I had been avoiding it for 2 months.
- Got something you're avoiding? Clutter that could clear your head or heart if you went through it?
You know how long it took to gain clarity and feel confident that it was done? 52 minutes! FIFTY TWO minutes. That's it.
- Do you have a "piling system" (that's a pile of papers) you need to go through this weekend that's been driving you NUTS?
The neat and tidy piling system I have on my desk once had receipts from 11 months prior in it!
My point first and then why the storage bins got me into hot water...
My point: We get stuck for different reasons and for the same reasons as everyone else. And when we get UNstuck, we gain a tremendous amount of clarity, feel better about ourselves, and have more confidence.
This is a reminder that small physical de-cluttering can be a great, cleansing experience for your head and heart, and this weekend may be a perfect time to do some!
Hot Water: Someone who wanted to come over was told no in an emotional way because I felt frustrated with myself over not having my space clear and open like usual.
MY energy of frustration and probably... YES anger at myself, jumped in and my response came across as over the top and "fishy" sounding.
Had we not had ridiculous communication skills already (although I didn't exhibit those in that stuck/insecure moment), it could have been a HUGE issue.
- Have you ever had a misunderstanding turn into a GIGANTIC problem before? I certainly have!
So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL
