A grandfather and his small grandson were taking a trip into town with their donkey.
He started off letting the grandson ride the donkey and he was walking alongside.
Someone passed by and said, “Look at that selfish little boy making that old man walk.”
He took the boy off and put him on the ground and he got on the donkey with the boy walking alongside.
Somebody passed by and said, “Look at that man making that little boy walk while he rides.”
He picked the boy up and put him on the donkey with him.
In a few minutes, someone passed by and said, “How cruel of the two of you to place that heavy load on that donkey.”
And by the time they got to town the grandfather and grandson were carrying the donkey.

The topic of being criticized by others and the hurt and absurdity it can cause is running rampant and I'm GLAD!
It's something humans struggle with by default.
Because of the way our subconscious mind works - psychological needs, personality styles and past experiences just to name a few - caring what people say, feel and think of us is normal.
More to come on this topic from me and for now, I THINK YOU'RE AWESOME, Friend! |
