Hey Friend, Since there are different love languages, it's important to give your loved ones something they will cherish if you are a gift-giver.
And what someone will cherish isn't necessarily something you spend money on.
So many people are rushing around right now buying gifts they can't afford for people they feel obligated to buy for, who may not even like the gift.
The chaos at holiday time certainly has more to do with commercialism than loving each other.
So, as an example of a gift that lasts a lifetime and inspires in a second when you need it, I prefer a handwritten note with 3 things the other person appreciates about me.
I can keep it forever, take a look when I feel like I need a boost, and hold it in my heart.
In this world of technology, if someone is far from you, you can even write a note in your handwriting and take a picture of it with your phone and send it electronically if it's a last minute thing.
There are all kinds of ways to give something special from your heart that's so much more important than something purchased at a store.
Be well this holiday season! Many blessings to you. |
