In the Tarot there are the first two cards of the Major Arcana; the "0" card the Fool and the "I" card the Magician, more specifically in the Thoth Deck (Aleister Crowley's Tarot Cards) The Magus
Inverted the Magus is not using it's power but upright it signifies being in touch with your magician. The Fool on the other-hand when upright signifies the power of taking risks that one must take but inverted; well, you are simply playing the fool...
I often wonder if I am more the fool than the magus! I once had the great honor to hear the Kelly Twins (astronauts) speak to an audience regarding what the secret sauce is--- the big idea so to speak:
"Have a goal, make a plan, and take risks!"
Wouldn't most people agree that this is indeed the collaboration between the Fool and the Magician?
