I know social media feels like the place to be for growing your business, but let me tell you from experience — it's not the only place, and it shouldn't be the main place.

There are 3 key reasons why email is at the center of my 7-figure business. And trust me, it’s time for small business owners to stop depending on social media for their success.

First... I don’t trust the platforms.

And here’s why: back in 2003, my business went from $3k/month to $0 overnight on MySpace. Yep, MySpace. One platform update, and poof — it was gone. And guess what? 20+ years later, business owners are still learning that same hard lesson.

Just look at Google’s latest “Un-helpful” algorithm update that wiped out thousands of niche businesses. Or take TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook... their algorithms used to give creators a ton of free reach. But now? You have to “boost” posts just to get a fraction of the reach you once had for free.

Here’s the difference with email: you own it.

No algorithm is going to cut you off from your email list. Once you build it, it’s yours forever. That’s why, since 2013, email has been my #1 focus. Social media platforms may come and go, but an email list? It’s the one asset you can trust to drive traffic and sales on-demand, for life.

Second... Email is the #1 most profitable marketing channel in my business.

Hands down, nothing beats it. Not only can you reach your audience directly, but email allows you to build real, long-term relationships with your customers. You’re not fighting against algorithm changes or trying to "game the system" — you’re just showing up where your customers want to hear from you.

Third... You control the message and the timing.

With social media, you’re at the mercy of whatever content the platforms decide to prioritize. With email, you control exactly what your audience sees, when they see it, and how often. You can run promotions, launch products, and drive engagement on your terms, not Facebook's or Instagram’s.

So, Friend, if you’ve been putting all your eggs in the social media basket, it’s time to rethink that strategy. Your email list is the one marketing asset that can give you lasting security, profitability, and freedom.
