Subject: Should it be easy to stay motivated?

You’ve probably heard people mention this word: dopamine.

But did you know it affects just about everything you do in your life?

 

So you may ask, "What is dopamine?"

It is a chemical your brain uses in various ways

(Called a neurotransmitter)

And is directly tied to movement, learning, and attention

As well as your brain’s pleasure and reward system.

(I know that’s pretty heady stuff for so early in the morning!)

 

According to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio:

If you have the right amount of dopamine in your system, you feel:

  • Happy

  • Motivated

  • Alert

  • Focused

(And those sound good, right?)

 

But if your dopamine level is low you might feel:

  • Tired and Unmotivated

  • Unhappy

  • And have memory loss and mood swings

  • Sleep problems and/or concentration difficulties

 

The point of learning about dopamine and its levels in your system

Is to help you stay motivated in your life and be the success you know you are.
